An invitation is to request the presence or participation of in a kind and courteous or complimentary way, to join or attended a function or event. The invitation that I am discussing is a personal invite from God for every man, woman, boy and girl to partake in His eternal life and all the finished works of Jesus. This invitation is as known as the call to salvation. The purpose of this and every blog I create is to challenge the thinking of every reader and to establish a foundation for future topics.
In life, when a person receives an invite of any type, the invitation has requirements. The requirements of the invitation are:
- The invitation must be received and accepted
- The invitation must be acknowledged and attended
- The Exchange process must be for filled
Received and Accepted
When an event is planned an invitation is sent out to all the people the event planner wants to attend the event. God has sent out invitation and He has cordially invited ever person on the planet to be a part of the reconciliation process of Kings and Queens into His Family. This was the main purpose for sending Jesus to the Earth. Jesus came to reconcile humanity back into their right place with God. Come taste and see that the Lord in good. Will you accept the invitation? Will you receive the invite God has personally sent to you?
Acknowledge and Attend
An event planner sends out the invitations, the invite has details on the event, purpose of event, site and planned entertainment, so you can decide about attending the event. For every event, the event planner expects the invitee to acknowledge and respond to that invitation by replying either “Yes, I accept” or “No, I decline”. It is considered to be rude not to respond to an invitation.
The invitation that God has sent out requires an acknowledgement and response as well. Again, the invitations have been sent. In the invitation God has invited everyone to come and partake in the feast of eternal life that only He can offer. Also, the invitation details the reconciliation process that will occur if the invitation is accepted. In this invitation God ask all invitees to believe with their heart Jesus is Lord, God’s only begotten son, and that He came to the earth and died so that they can be connected back with God and live life on earth to the fullest until is overflows. Will you attend the event? Will you acknowledge God’s desire for your life?
In addition, to receiving, replying and attending the event planned by the planner there is a process of exchange. This process of exchange happens at every event. To explain, at weddings invitees exchange gifts of money and fine china for two people uniting in holy matrimony experience which also may include a dinner and dancing. At birthday parties invitees exchange gifts of all types for an individual’s celebration of another year of life experience which may include cake, ice cream and great fellowship.
The event God has created has an exchange part as well. After the invitee has received, replied and has plan to attend the event, God’s invitation has very special instructions for the exchange part of the event. God created this event to reconcile everyone back to Himself, to create King and Queens on the earth out of all that attend the event. In attending the event the invitee must agree to exchange all their sin and all their bad for all God’s good experience which includes being made complete, righteous, holy, sanctified and redeemed. Wow!
Salvation is that simple. It’s a gift that must be receive and acknowledge to the point exchange occurs. Accept the invitation. God loves you so much.
